ridiculous

i just made my second online circuit city purchase in three days... ay yi yi... i recently decided that i want a tom tom (GPS navigator) and a digital camera, but i just wasn't sure. after talking to my mother on friday, i decided to get both, but that i'd do each one from a different paycheck.

first i'd buy the camera because i've got laura's wedding this weekend, then ciy, then ali's wedding, then florida, and then jenna's wedding and i've always kind of wanted a digital camera, just not enough to actually buy one, but i'm beginning to see the need! especially now that i have this sweet blog that i can post pictures on! so this won't be a surprise, but i'm not sure how i feel about this... i wanted a silver camera, but ended up getting a pink one (i know, you are like and this is a surprise because?). but anyway, hear me out on why i had to get the pink one. for the same price it comes with a case and a memory card adapter. i also got a memory card. ay yi yi... but here's the crazy thing... that's today's purchase!

i bought the tom tom on saturday. i wasn't going to, but i was looking online and found the one laura has (that i've used a few times and it's AWESOME!) and had settled on getting it in a couple weeks (right before CIY so i don't get lost driving there by myself!) well, i was looking at them online at both best buy and circuit city and while i was looking at all the sale prices on circuit city, they had one that is usually $100 more than laura's, but it was $100 off and the one laura has wasn't on sale, so for the exact same price, i could get one that is usually $100 more and so i couldn't decide whether or not to get it, and then decided i would. so i did. and then my mom called and i told her and she approved and said that was a good idea. when i looked online yesterday it was back to its regular price so i really did save all that money! whoo hoo!

but yes, i've gone and spent all this money that i don't have when i need to be thinking about buying a car and saving money... great... but i figure, i'm getting money from doing this class at school on saturdays and it should be in the next paycheck or the one after that and that'll be about when the credit card is due so really it's like that extra pay bought these things so i guess it's not that bad... plus my mom made the good point of, "well, what'd you do with your christmas money? you didn't buy an i-pod..." and it's true, when i have cash i use it on things like groceries and going out to eat so i guess every now and again i can make big purchases like this since i always use my birthday and christmas money on everyday expenses... that's how i'm gonna make myself feel better about this (even though i don't really have buyer's remorse because i have new toys! well, i picked the tom tom up this afternoon and hopefully i can get the camera after work tomorrow!)
