i have no shame

i had a total blonde moment today... probably the best i've had in a while... and so, i am going to share this with you...

so i went to the library this afternoon (i am so into reading right now it is ridiculous! i started a 300+ page novel around 8:30 last night and had it finished by 1 o'clock this afternoon... i love summer!). okay, so i run into josh while i'm there and he has a handful of CD's, but is about to go look at books... perfect because i want to go upstairs and get the next five in the series i started yesterday so we head upstairs and get my books and look at books for him and then we go to look at mine in hardcover because they didn't have the third one so we go over to the hardcover section and they have it so then i get each of the five in hardcover and we go put the paperback books back... i know, i'm ridiculous. well, at some point, josh had brought up that he wants to get audio books or books on tape or whatever for the ridiculous road trip that the boys are going on this weekend so we go back downstairs and over by the media stuff and we see the books on tape so we're looking at them and i find the book that i had just finished a few hours before and tell him he should get it... it's a mystery about a bounty hunter so it's not like it's a total chick book, you know? so i pick it up and he reads the back and says that it is like 8.5 hours and is x number of compact discs and i go, "oh it's not on CD? well do they have it on CD?" and josh goes, "a compact disc is a CD" and i go, "oh right, well you should have just said CD, i was thinking about cassette tapes" (because hi, even though they are "audio books" they will probably always be "books on tape" in my mind... ya know? whatever... i get a justification so don't give me any crap about it!) ay yi yi... he obviously had to go and tell everyone tonight... so i didnt' realize that a compact disc was a CD... it's only cause he said it, if i would have read it, i would have been picturing a CD... hopefully!
