God has a funny sense of humor!

so before i went to florida, i bought five boxes of candy, wrapped them in tissue paper, and hid them in the apartment. once i got to florida, i sent rach postcards (mostly) with clues to find the candy. unfortunately i was at target when i bought the candy and not walgreens. this is the only time i'd rather be at walgreens than target. target just didn't have much selection - mike n ike's, lemonheads, and cabbage patch kids were pretty much it. i ended up with three kinds of mike n ikes... well, i guess two, original and like raspberry or something and then i got hot tamales. i consider those mike n ikes.

unfortunately, rach didn't get her first treasure hunt for a while. i didn't have postcards. whatever, she got it at some point. july 1st at the latest. well, then i ended up having to get postcards at walgreens. on july 5th. yeah. and it went out on the 6th. needless to say, i got this text on the 8th:

"so I'm hungry for some candy and I haven't gotten another clue yet so I was snooping and found cinnamon flavored candy behind bob? Really????"

it took me a second and then i was like, "ohhh, the hot tamales!" whoops. i always think of cinnamon as the kind i use to bake or cook. i know she's allergic to that, but i hadn't thought about the candies! ha ha! that's what she gets for snooping! i mean, really, though, what are the odds that the ONE she found is the ONE she can't eat?!?!? ha ha, i say God has a funny sense of humor!

and if you're wondering what she means about it being behind bob, it was behind a picture of him on my bookshelf. i like to hide things in fun places. last year it was just places in my room - in a pillow case, in a slot of my shoe organizer in my closet, you know, not real clever, but i was rushed and she was at home. this year, however, i needed new places so i hid them when she was at work! and out in common living areas! inside a game, in with the wii games, underneath my movie tower (there just so happened to be movies in front of it so you couldn't see it!), behind bob's picture, and, my favorite, on my bookshelf, underneath my LOST dvds that have a picture in front of them! yes! ha ha... i'm a nut!
